Police: dog killed by hit-and-run driver

MUHLENBERG TWP., Pa. - Police in Muhlenberg Township are asking for help after they say a driver hit and killed a dog and then drove off.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon in the rear parking lot of the K-mart on North Fifth Street Highway.

Police say a gray terrier got away from its owner in the 3100 block of Noble Avenue and ran into the parking lot.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or the driver is asked to call Muhlenberg police.
