Police identify woman whose body was found in Berks

Alishia Eller, 24, was found near Mussleman and Beagle roads Saturday.

BETHEL TWP., Pa. - State Police say the death of a  Schuylkill County woman whose body was discovered in a remote area of Berks County appears to be suspicious.

Alishia Eller, 24, of Pine Grove, was found dead Saturday morning in the area of Musselman and Beagle roads in Bethel Township.

It appears Eller's body had been at that location 24-48 hours before being discovered, state police said Sunday afternoon.

Now, authorities believe Eller did not die from natural causes, said Trooper David Beohm, a state police spokesperson.

State Police said they received a call from a person who discovered Eller's body around 7 a.m. Saturday. The area is located near Route 78.

An autopsy was conducted Sunday morning but officials said the cause of death was undetermined. Toxicology tests are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding Alishia's whereabouts Friday night into Saturday morning to call state police at Hamburg, 484-660-1011.
