Students make devices to help disabled

SPRING TWP., Pa. - Students at Penn State Berks are working together to make life easier for people with disabilities.

Engineering and occupational therapy majors joined forces to make some unique devices.

One invention is a door opener and stopper. It would help people in wheelchairs pass through doorways.

Another invention is a mailbox that opens and lifts mail with the touch of a button.

The students also invented a wheelchair that allows users to reach high areas.
