RAWA establishes hardship fund to help customers

READING, Pa. - The Reading Area Water Authority is launching a program to help customers struggling to pay their bills.

The authority has put $150,000 into a hardship fund. The money will be used to provide short term assistance with water bills for qualified customers.

Anyone in need of the service will have to fill out an application.

The program has been in the works since 2013.
