Reading man charged in child porn case

READING, Pa. - A Reading man has been charged with having hundreds of images and videos of child pornography.

William Schiel III surrendered Monday, according to detectives with the Berks County district attorney's office.

Authorities said they began investigating Schiel in September after a website linked his address to online images of child pornography.

Officials said they searched Schiel's home in the 100 block of West Oley Street and found hundreds of digital images and videos of child porn.

Schiel, 28, was charged with dissemination of photographs/film of child sex acts, possession of child pornography and contact/criminal use of communications facility.
