Reading man sent to prison for rape of unconscious woman

READING, Pa. - A Reading man will spend between 5-1/2 and 15 years in state prison for the rape of an unconscious woman last year.

Adam Beltz was sentenced Tuesday after being found guilty by a Berks County jury of rape and related charges.

The rape happened inside a city home in July 2016. The victim told police she suffered a seizure and passed out after smoking crack cocaine and synthetic marijuana.
