Reading police: Woman makes false rape claim to get revenge on ex-boyfriend

READING, Pa. - A woman's plan to get revenge on her former boyfriend has backfired, police said Friday.

Cori Lynn Osiecki was arrested and charged with false report - falsely incriminate another.

Osiecki reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by a former boyfriend on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Osiecki was transported by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation and completion of a sexual assault kit, police said.

During a subsequent interview in June, however, Osiecki admitted to police that she made up the rape allegations against her former boyfriend because she wanted to get back at him for spreading rumors about her, according to court documents.

Osiecki, 32, of Reading, is free on $5,000 unsecured bail, pending further court action.
