Report: Reading among top 10 most exciting places in Pa.

READING, Pa. - A real estate blog has put out a list of the 10 most exciting places in Pennsylvania, and Reading is on the list.

Reading came in at number eight on the list assembled by the Movoto blog, topping Harrisburg and Bethlehem.

The list was assembled using data from the 2010 U.S. Census and business listings. It looked at things like bars, parks, galleries and movie theaters.

Tourism officials said it's tough attracting younger visitors since Berks County doesn't have a beach or casino, but they said lists like this could help turn things around.

"When they said music and entertainment, I was pretty excited because we run the gamut from the symphony to concerts to country western to the [Berks] Jazz Fest to the fiddle fest. There's all kinds of musical things going on," said Crystal Seitz, Greater Reading Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Pittsburgh took the top spot on the list. Lancaster came in third. Easton was seventh.
