Ribbon cut on new Reading playground

READING, Pa. - A new playground in Reading is officially open.

Officials and kids cut the ribbon on the 16th and Haak Playground Wednesday evening.

The Gilmore Henne Community Fund refurbished the playground with the help of 200 volunteers.

Organizers are dealing with one setback.

They say someone set off a fireworks display on the Fourth of July that damaged part of the playground, but they say they are determined to repair it.
