Ex-police chief pleads guilty to child porn charge

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - A onetime police chief in Berks County has pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge.

Three of the charges against former Brecknock Township police Chief Robert Geist were previously withdrawn.

Investigators said they linked massive amounts of child porn to Geist's home in Bucks County last summer.

Geist stopped leading the police force in Brecknock Township in October 2012.

Geist is free on bail while awaiting sentencing, which has not yet been scheduled.
