Komets handle Royals, take 2-1 series lead

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Reading Royals fell to the Fort Wayne Komets, 5-1, on Thursday night at Memorial Coliseum. The Komets lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series 2-1.

Sean Wiles tallied the only goal for Reading in the second period, which made it 2-1 heading into the third.

But in the final period, the Komets scored three unanswered goals to put the game away. One of those goals was Aaron Clarke's second of the game.

Game 4 is Friday night at 8:00 in Fort Wayne.
