Royals fall again in Fort Wayne, down 3-1 in series

Reading faces elimination game on Sunday

Komets top Royals again to take 3-1 series lead

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Royals struggled to score for the second straight night as they lost to Fort Wayne, 3-1, on Friday at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Komets gained a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

The defending Kelly Cup champions tied the game at 1 late in the 1st period when Stan Galiev scored on a power play.

But Komets' goalie Ben Meisner was lights out once again and he got some help offensively in the second and third periods. Christian Ouellet's 2nd period goal proved to be the game-winner.

The Royals will try to stave off elimination and get the series back to Reading in game 5 Sunday evening at 6:00 in Fort Wayne.
