Royals take 1-0 series lead over Greenville with shutout

READING, Pa. - The Reading Royals grabbed a 1-0 series lead on Greenville in their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal on Friday night at the Sovereign Center.

The Royals shutout the Road Warriors, 1-0, thanks to 18 saves from Goaltender of the Month (March) Riley Gill and a second period goal from Yannick Tifu.

The game became very testy in the third period, with both teams combining for 11 penalties and 32 penalty minutes.

The series will continue with Game 2 on Saturday night at the Sovereign Center.
