Royals take down defending Kelly Cup champs

Royals top Everblades 4-2

READING, Pa. - We're only a couple of months into the hockey season, but already the Reading Royals are enjoying themselves.  12 wins in November helped, especially considering they only lost twice. The Royals set a team record with 11 straight wins in the month.

Wednesday night they hoped to keep their mojo going in the right direction and a win over the defending Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades would do just that.

Adam Comrie, Stanislav Galiev, David Marshall and Denny Urban all scored for Reading as the Royals defeated the Everblades 4-2.

Philipp Grubauer made 28 saves in net for the Royals. He recently earned ECHL Goalie of the Month honors.

Reading heads on the road this coming for a weekend for a pair of games with division rival Elmira.
