Saturday snow causes some travel headaches

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Local emergency officials are urging people to stay indoors as snow falls throughout the region.

Dozens of small accidents have been reported in counties across our viewing area, and officials say they are making travel tough.

A tractor trailer reportedly rolled over on Route 33 in Bethlehem Township just after noon on Saturday, officials said.

In Lehigh County, officials said there are a number of accidents on Interstate 78, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and other local roads, but officials said none of those accidents were reported as serious.

Berks County officials said a number of accidents were reported on Route 222, Route 61, and on other local roads as well, but as in other counties, none were reported as serious, officials said.

A tractor trailer had been disabled on a stretch of Interstate 78 in Berks County around 2pm Saturday, but State Police said it was cleared and traffic was moving slowly through the area.

Officials advised drivers to stay indoors and not travel if it's not necessary.
