Schuylkill Valley has more to prove at the net this season

Panthers coming off first-ever state tournament appearance

Panthers key to success has been defense

LEESPORT - Schuylkill Valley was expected to accomplish big things before the season even started. So far, the Panthers have delivered en route to a perfect mark in Berks II play.

Schuylkill Valley and Governor Mifflin share the best overall record in Berks County.

For the Panthers, not having that status at this point would have been a disappointment.

The entire team returned this year, looking to build off the program's first-ever state tournament appearance last season.

While the Panthers have some great hitters, they say its the defense that is the cornerstone of their success.
