Search for attempted homicide suspect over; man behind bars

READING, Pa. - A Reading man is now behind bars on charges that include attempted homicide.

Police on Friday announced the arrest of Armando Ayala-Negron. RPD officers had been searching for him since March, when, they said, he stabbed a man multiple times in the 900 block of Franklin Street.

In addition to attempted homicide, Ayala-Negron, 20, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, burglary, and recklessly endangering another person. He was committed to the Berks County Jail on $500,000 bail.
