Shoemakersville man accused of sexually assaulting young girl, police say

SHOEMAKERSVILLE, Pa. - A Berks County man allegedly sexually assaulted a young girl for over a period of three and-a-half years, police said.

Dennis Walters, 54, of Perry Township, was charged with numerous felony counts. He is now free after posting $10,000 bail, according to court records.

Police indicated the alleged assaults occurred between 2011 and 2014. The victim, according to court paperwork, was under the age of 13 when the assaults began.
