Shooting death of man, 21, ruled a homicide

Police want to talk with witnesses outside bar at time of shooting

READING, Pa. - The shooting death of a 21-year-old man Sunday morning has been ruled a homicide.

Officials said Ramon Rosario-Evangelista died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Rosario-Evangelista was shot and killed outside the A-Town Cafe at N. 10th and Elm streets in Reading.  Also shot in the chest was another victim, who's listed in critical condition as well as a woman who was shot in the leg.

Police said a fight broke out on the corner after the bar closed.  That led to a man shooting Rosario-Evangelista. and the other victims.  It's not clear how it started.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to call Reading police or Crime Alert Berks County at 877-373-9913.

Callers to Crime Alert can receive a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the homicide.
