Sinkhole closes medical center

Sinkhole closes medical center

SPRING RIDGE, Pa. - The Reading Health System's Spring Ridge Campus will reopen Tuesday after a sinkhole caused major problems.

The hole opened on Saturday in Spring Township and crews have been working to repair the damage.

Electricity and gas to the building had to be shut off, forcing health system officials to close the facility.

We're told a busted water pipe could be to blame for the sinkhole.

Some appointments for Monday were moved to other locations and others will be rescheduled.
