Slick road leads to crash involving Hamburg school bus, car

No one injured, police say

HAMBURG, Pa. - Dozens of Hamburg Area High School students escaped injury when their bus and a car collided Friday morning.

Police said slippery road conditions are to blame for the accident, which happened around 7:15 a.m. in the 500 block of Pine Street, not far from the high school.

Approximately 40 students were on the bus at the time, according to Richard Mextorf, the school district's superintendent. He said none of them was injured, but they were picked up by other buses and, as a precaution, checked out by nurses at the school.

The two drivers were also not reported to be injured.

No charges will be filed in the accident, police said.
