Special graduation ceremony held for Derrick Redcay

Being in the hospital isn't stopping a Berks County teen from enjoying some pomp and circumstance.

Derrick Redcay, 18, was presented with his Muhlenberg High School diploma Tuesday.

His family sent 69 News this video of the special ceremony.

Derrick is being treated at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia after being left paralyzed by a rare stroke.

Friends, family and hospital staff were on hand to cheer Derrick on.

Derrick's classmates will graduate on Thursday.

He'll be able to watch the ceremony through a live stream.
