Speeding driver pleads guilty, sentenced for causing deadly crash in Reading

READING, Pa. - The driver of a speeding car has admitted to causing a crash that took the life of a Berks County man last year.

Sergio Nunes pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle. He was subsequently sentenced to four to 23 months in jail and four years of probation.

Nunes was driving more than 75 miles-per-hour in a 35 mph zone when he struck another vehicle at Centre Avenue and Cathedral Street, near FirstEnergy Stadium, in Reading on March 15, 2013, according to investigators, who reviewed surveillance video of the crash.

David Osenbach, 62, of Windsor Township, was killed; Nunes was seriously injured.
