Students urge Pa. lawmakers to ban smoking around kids

MUHLENBERG TWP., Pa. - Fifth grade students took a unique request to two state lawmakers from Berks County.

Students from C.E. Cole Intermediate School and Holy Guardian Angels School delivered letters urging lawmakers to ban smoking around children.

The students came up with the idea after learning about the dangers of second-hand smoke and its effects on kids.

Pa. Rep. Mark Rozzi said it's great to see kids engaged in the process.

Students also delivered letters to Pa. Sen. Judy Schwank.
