Jon Swavely gets shot with hometown team

READING - Forward Jon Swavely has made history within the Royals organization. He has become the first player to advance from the junior Royals and sign with the big club. What's more, he just so happens to be from Reading, PA.

The Muhlenberg graduate made his ECHL debut last Friday in a 4-1 win over Elmira.

Swavely, a University of Maine product, has been enjoying every minute with the Royals, especially since he's playing in his own hometown.

The 5'9" forward knows he'll have some growing pains as he adjusts to the higher level of hockey. That effort will be aided in the fact that he's wearing a Reading jersey.
