Taylor Swift ahead of Philadelphia concert: 'Take me home'

Instagram photo shows visit to former Berks home

CUMRU TWP., Pa. - A photo of Taylor Swift shows the Berks County-born pop star taking a stroll down memory lane ahead of her concerts in Philadelphia this weekend.

Swift posted to Instagram Friday afternoon a picture of herself holding a photo of her younger self. Both photos show Swift standing in the same spot outside her former home in Cumru Township.

The photo was tagged with Reading as the location, and included Swift's comment, "Take me home," leading to some buzz over a pre-concert return to her hometown.

The post quickly generated hundreds of thousands of likes from among her 110-million Instagram followers.

The last time Swift is known to have been in Berks County was in 2016, when she served as maid of honor in the wedding of her childhood friends, Britany Maack and Benjamin LaManna.

Swift, now 28, moved with her family from Berks to Nashville when she was 14 to pursue her musical career.

Swift is currently canvassing the country on her "Reputation" tour. She will perform concerts at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday and Saturday nights.

Swift began the tour in Glendale, Arizona, on May 8 in support of her platinum-selling album of the same name. It is scheduled to end November 9 in Auckland, New Zealand.
