Berks native Taylor Swift returns to perform in home state

'It's definitely surreal'

PHILADELPHIA - Berks County-born pop star Taylor Swift is bringing her Reputation tour to her home state this weekend.

Swift will hit the stage at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Friday night, but her fans -- "Swifties" -- hustled inside early.

Swift's got a big Reputation, perhaps no bigger than among fellow Berks County natives eager to see her Reputation stadium tour.

Swift's first show in Philadelphia is a bit of a homecoming. She posted on social media Friday afternoon the words "Take Me Home" along with a photo of her holding a childhood picture outside her former home in Cumru Township.

Fans go to great lengths for the show. They dress up and they show up over and over again.

"This is our second concert, and we are going again in nine days," said C.J. Davidson, who attended the concert.

The Schuylkill County couple were extra stoked for Friday night's show in Philly.

"It's definitely surreal. Tonight, this is the 13th city she's in, and today's the 13th, and that's her lucky number, so I'm hoping she does something big," said concertgoer Selena Weikel.

Some flew in from Argentina to see Swift and others traveled all the way from Tokyo.
