Teacher facing drug charges after traffic stop in Spring

SPRING TWP., Pa. - A special education teacher who police said was found with heroin in her car during a traffic stop in Spring Township is heading to trial.

Charges against Megan Warner were held for court Tuesday. Police said she had several bundles of heroin when she ran a red light at Van Reed and State Hill roads in January.

Warner was a teacher at a charter school in York.

Police say she told them she was buying heroin to keep a friend from going through withdrawal.
