Teen injured when car hits trees near Bernville

JEFFERSON TWP., Pa. - A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after crashing his car in Berks County.

The Bernville teen was driving south on Christmas Village Road in Jefferson Township around 11 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of the car, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The car crossed the center line, went off the road and hit several trees near Reber Hill Road, police said, adding that the teen was driving at a "high rate of speed" at the time.

The boy, whose name has not been released, was taken to Reading Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
