Teen involved in deadly trail altercation sent to treatment center

READING, Pa. - A teenager who was part of an attempted robbery on a trail in Cumru Township has been placed in a treatment center, authorities said.

They say the 16-year-old Governor Mifflin student was found delinquent on two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.

The student was one of three teens who tried to rob a man on the Thun Trail in late January, police said.

The man shot two of the teenagers, killing one and wounding the other, police said.

Prosecutors didn't charge the man because they said he was defending himself.
