Tip leads to drug bust in St. Clair; Reading men behind bars

More than $68K worth of meth seized, police say

ST. CLAIR, Pa. - Two Reading men have found themselves behind bars in Pottsville.

Pennsylvania State Police and members of the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force said information they received led them to stop a 1993 Toyota Corolla in St. Clair on Thursday.

A search of the car turned up one and a half pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of more than $68,000, authorities said.

The car's occupants, Efrain Alfredo Rivera-Santiago and Michael Antonio Ramirez, both 19, of Reading, were arrested and charged with various drug offenses.

The suspects were committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, where each is being held on $75,000 bail.
