Topton train death ruled suicide

TOPTON, Pa. - The death of a woman who was hit by a train in Topton, Berks County has been ruled a suicide, police said.

It happened shortly after 9 p.m. Friday about a quarter-mile east of the Main Street and Center Avenue intersection.

Police said the woman was standing in the center of the tracks facing an oncoming train. She moved slightly to her right and was struck and killed by the impact.
