Trial set for man charged with murder in girlfriend's death

READING, Pa. - Trial will start Monday for a man accused of dragging his ex-girlfriend from a truck at Kutztown University.

The jury that will decide the fate of Michael Morrone was seated Tuesday.

Morrone's ex-girlfriend, Christine McGhee, of Warminster Twp., Bucks Co., was left in a vegetative state after she was dragged through a parking lot outside her KU dorm on Dec. 4, 2008. She died March 18, 2012.

Morrone is charged with third degree murder. The New Jersey man is already serving a five to 20-year sentence for an aggravated assault conviction in the case.
