Weapons charges filed against husband of homicide victim

READING, Pa. - A man whose wife was shot and killed in Berks County earlier this year has been taken into custody on firearms violations.

Authorities said they seized four guns from Jules Krenzel's home in Pike Township. They said they found the guns in July, while serving a protection from abuse order against him.

Krenzel was convicted of a federal drug offense in the 1970s, so he's not allowed to have guns, officials said.

Krenzel's wife, Louisa, was found shot and killed outside the family's home in January. No arrests have been made in that case.
