Wilson boys fall short in District III lacrosse finals

Bulldogs' championship bid spoiled for 2nd straight year

Carlisle knocks off Wilson in District final

HERSHEY, Pa. - At Hersheypark Stadium, (2) Carlisle knocked off undefeated (1) Wilson WL, 11-8, in the District IIII boys lacrosse championship game Thursday night. It was the second straight year that the Bulldogs came up short in the District final.

Wilson's Matt Close registered 5 points on the night, despite being hounded all evening by the Thundering Herd. Adam Close, Mitch Phillips and Connor Howell also had 3 point apiece for the Bulldogs.

Drew Amsley led the way for Carlisle with 6 points.

Wilson now turns its attentions to the PIAA tournament.
