Wilson carrying Berks lacrosse into unfamiliar territory

SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Wilson West Lawn recorded the first-ever state tournament win in Berks County lacrosse history. The Bulldogs hope to keep the magic going against Avon Grove in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Wilson knocked off Emmaus in overtime in the first round on Wednesday. Now they'll have to deal with the top-seed out of District 1, Avon Grove. District 1 produces perennial powerhouses and state contenders.

But the Bulldogs are not afraid to suit up against the best. They have even more motivation knowing that they can make a statement for Berks County lacrosse with another big win.
