Wilson boys, Exeter girls claim county titles

EXETER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Wilson West Lawn boys rolled past Exeter to win the BCIAA lacrosse championship.  The Exeter girls posted an overtime victory over Governor Mifflin to win a county title of their own on Thursday.

The Bulldog boys controlled play from start to finish, leading 7-0 after the first half. Wilson went on to win, 14-4, as the Bulldogs finish perfect within Berks County in both regular season and postseason play.

The night's earlier game between the Exeter and Governor Mifflin girls had more drama.

The Eagles won in overtime, 12-11, on a goal by Hailey Leister, who had 6 goals total on the night.

Morgan Stump sent the game into OT on a goal with 40 seconds left in the game.

Governor Mifflin was led by 5 goals from Melanie Colozzi and 4 from Emma Jones.
