Wilson WL boys fall to Manheim Twp. in District III lacrosse title game

Wilson WL comes up short in District title game

HERSHEY, Pa. - Wilson West Lawn fell to Manheim Township on Thursday night in Hershey, 12-9. The Bulldogs were bidding to become the first lacrosse team in Berks County history to bring home a District III championship.

Trailing 8-4 at halftime, Wilson closed to within one goal of the Blue Streaks in the second half. But the rally would come up just short as Manheim pulled away in the later minutes.

Julian Jackson recorded a team-high 4 goals for Wilson. Matt Close added 3 for the Bulldogs.

Wilson will now prepare for the PIAA lacrosse tournament.
