Wilson WL boys soccer eyes return to state final

Bulldogs eye return to state championship game

SPRING TOWNSHIP - The Wilson West Lawn boys soccer team made a run to the state final last year. The Bulldogs came up short, but that isn't stopping them from high expectations in 2013.

Wilson lost to Upper St. Clair, 1-0, in the PIAA 3-A Final in 2012. That Bulldog team featured players like Adam Bainbridge, Wes Frebel and Bryan Fegley.

Those players have graduated, along with some other key pieces. It's up to a new class of Wilson players to carry the torch.

It's a challenge this year's team is excited to face. It remembers last year's loss, and has used it as motivation to get back to the state tournament.

One factor to keep an eye on will be the Bulldogs ability to score. The players listed above were the team's top scorers from a year ago.
