Wilson WL girls on a roll entering state tournament

Bulldogs have already won county and district titles

Wilson WL girls playing well entering state tournament

SPRING TWP. - Five Berks County basketball teams have earned spots in the state tournament. We'll preview each squad leading up to their opening games Friday and Saturday, starting with the two-time defending District 3 champion Wilson girls.

The Bulldogs begin their quest for a state title Friday night at Garden Spot.

Wilson has drawn Methacton in the first round, the 10th seed out of District I.

Doug Myer's team is firing on all cylinders following an up and down start to the season. The Bulldogs have won 16 straight games.

But Wilson knows it will have to play at an even higher level to complete the championship sweep this year. Wilson made an early exit in last year's field when they fell to North Penn.
