Woman found dead outside home after using PCP, police say

ST. LAWRENCE, Pa. - Officials investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman spent hours at a home in Berks County on Monday.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was found dead outside the home in the 3500 block of Stoner Avenue in St. Lawrence. Police said she used the drug PCP, reacted to it and started punching windows.

Officials said she began to lose a lot of blood and ended up outside in the driveway. Police said she was found there by her fiancé.

Detectives said the woman had a history of using PCP.

"Her fiancé said she was trying to get help for it recently, but obviously, it wasn't working. She was still using," said Det. Sgt. Deron Manndel, Central Berks Regional Police Department.

Police said they don't suspect foul play and that nobody else was home at the time.
