Wyo standouts Blakely, Thornton sign letters of intent

Wyo's Thornton, Blakely sign

WYOMISSING, Pa. - There were some student athletes at Wyomissing High School signing to compete at the next level Wednesday, both of whom excel individually in their sports.  Evan Thornton in golf, and Audrey Ann Blakely for the outstanding Wyomissing tennis team.

Thornton has been one of the top golfers in Berks County and the state for the last few years, and now he'll be taking his talents to Delaware to play for the Blue Hens and their golf team. Evan was really impressed with the axhool's facilities, thinking they could help get him to the next level.

The state singles champion Blakely will play tennis in Western PA at Pittsburgh.  She's hoping to combine tennis with the education she was looking for, as well as compete in the very talented ACC.
