Wyomissing, Fleetwood prepare for showdown

BERKS COUNTY - Wyomissing and Fleetwood will play in a pivotal Berks II game on Friday night at Fleetwood.

The Spartans (2-0, 3-3) got off to a slow start, but have really come on as of late. The defending state champions are 2-1 in their last 3 games. Wyo is even more excited because it has started to move the ball very well on offense after going through a transition period in the preseason and the early parts of the regular season.

The Tigers (2-0, 4-2) picked up their 4th win of the season last weekend at Northern Lebanon, setting a new school record. That, paired with a convincing victory over Schuylkill Valley the week before, and Fleetwood has put together an impressive campaign so far.

However, the Tigers don't think the county considers them as a legitimate threat just yet. They feel a win over Wyomissing, a long-time nemesis, will change that outlook.

This game will be featured on the Big Ticket.
