BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A 21-year-old Bethlehem man is accused of stabbing another man, leaving him in critical condition.

Police said they were called to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem around 3:40 a.m. Saturday for a report of a male who arrived in the emergency room with multiple stab wounds to his back and a collapsed lung.

An investigation uncovered that the stabbing was a result of a domestic situation that happened inside of and in the backyard of a home at 1030 Center Street in Bethlehem.

The fight broke out between the victim and Jose Angel Rivera, of the Center Street address, police said.

Police said the fight started in the kitchen where Rivera picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.

The knife was found at the scene.

The victim is listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit at St. Luke's.

Rivera is charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.

He was taken to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
