Bethlehem residents reenact Palm Sunday march

Palm Sun in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - On Sunday morning, some residents in Lehigh County reenacted a Biblical scene from thousands of years ago.

Sunday was Palm Sunday, and in Bethlehem, a group of men from El Shaddai Bethlehem Ministries dressed in Biblical garb for a reenactment from Stefko Boulevard and Broad Street.

According to the Biblical account, Palm Sunday was the day Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem-- one week before his crucifixion. He was greeted by residents waving palm branches.

Sunday marked the first day of Holy Week, and the final week of Lent which ends on Easter Sunday.
