Bikers Ride For Wise

READING, Pa. - Hundreds of bikers were on the streets of Berks County this weekend, in honor of a fallen police officer.

Sunday was the 7th Annual Ride For Wise.

It's in honor of Reading Police Officer Michael Wise, who shot and killed in the line of duty seven years ago.

Money raised from the ride will benefit a foundation that has been established in his memory.

Organizers said it's a great way to remind the public of the risks police officers take on a daily basis.

"So that people don't forget police officers who have been killed in the line of duty and the fact that, you know, we go out every day, risking our lives and we do it just because we want to help the public," said Bruce Monteiro.

The bikers rode from Reading Area Community College to Cleona, Lebanon County and passed by Wise's grave site along the way.
