Brett Correll, final suspect sought in child porn sweep, nabbed near Kutztown

9 other men arrested in December following 4-month investigation

Police: Woman charged after helping to hide fugitive boyfriend

RICHMOND TWP., Pa. - A Berks County woman has been charged after allegedly helping to conceal the whereabouts of her boyfriend, a known fugitive.

It all stems from a child pornography sweep detectives conducted last month, arresting all but one suspect, Brett Correll, 33.

Since December, police have had an active warrant for the arrest of Correll on charges of sexual abuse of children.

He was the last of 10 suspects to be arrested in a child-pornography sting by the Delaware County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force which alerted Berks County detectives.

Detectives say Rivera-Rondon knew of the warrant and told police she did not know where Correll was.

However just this week police say a surveillance team caught her at the Saucony Campground in Kutztown with Correll and their 5-year-old son.

Correll was arrested, Rivera-Rondon turned herself in on Thursday.

Rivera-Rondon now faces several charges including hindering apprehension or prosecution, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Turns out this isn't the first time Correll and Rivera-Rondon have made the news.

According to Reading Police, back in October of 2008 Correll told police he shot his two dogs after they attacked Rivera-Rondon who required stitches from the incident.

Correll did not receive any charges from the incident regarding his dogs.
