Wilson WL boys win 5 set thriller with Governor Mifflin

SHILLINGTON - The Wilson West Lawn boys volleyball team (5-1, 6-1) edged Governor Mifflin (4-1, 6-1) in a key Berks I match, 3-2, on Thursday night in Shillington.

The Mustangs captured game one convincingly (25-13), but Wilson rebound by winning the next two seets (26-24, 25-22). Mifflin forced a decisive fifth game with a win in game four (25-23), but the Bulldogs pulled away in the final set to win the match (15-10).

Wilson's Sheku Koromo posted 23 kills to lead the Bulldogs. Austin Lubas had 12 kills and Anthony Rivera added another 10 for Wilson.

Alex Cortellessa paced the Mustangs with 13 kills. Andrew Wasmuth added 34 assists in the effort.
