Tyler Cloyd was hit hard on Thursday as the IronPigs dropped an 8-6 decision in Norfolk on Thursday.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the 'Pigs, who drop to a season-worst 16-24 on the season.
Cloyd surrendered seven earned runs on 11 hits, including four home runs in the first three innings, and failed to make it out of the third inning.
Cloyd (1-4, 6.57) had pitched well in his 2013 Major League debut for the Phillies last Friday.
He had been widely expected to be recalled once again to make another start for the Phillies next week.
Humberto Quintero and Cody Overbeck each homered for the IronPigs, who cut a 6-1 deficit down to 7-6 in the sixth inning.
Cody Asche and Leandro Castro each added RBI doubles for the 'Pigs.
The IronPigs will look to avoid their sweep in Norfolk on Friday at 7:05pm, before opening an eight-game homestand against Rochester at Coca-Cola Park Saturday night.
