HARRISBURG, Pa. -

Governor Tom Corbett has signed a law increasing the minimum sentence for fleeing the scene of a fatal accident.

The minimum is going from one year up to three years in prison.

"Kevin's Law" is named after a five-year-old who was struck while crossing the street with his family in Wilkes-Barre.

In Reading, Justin Taylor was sentenced last year to a minimum of two years in prison.

Authorities say he fled the scene after fatally striking three-year-old Ja-Lexy Bobet in the area of South 10th and Cotton streets.
